What Makes this event different?
New York Center for Photographic Art is a unique company in that its business model offers six – eight opportunities a year for any and all photographers, from amateur to professional, male or female, young or old. Each and every individual is encouraged to submit photographs based on the specific theme as laid out in the call. Ten winners receive cash prizes. Twenty submitters are selected as Juror's Selections and 20 submitters are selected as Honorable Mentions. All winners are shown in our online gallery as well as in the exhibition catalog specifically designed for each individually themed call for entry. We encourage all photographers to submit.
Call for Entries for Photographers - Reflections
As we move through life, reflections take on deeper meaning—more than just a mirror image of ourselves. Almost anything placed near a reflective surface transforms, doubling or distorting into something new. From a city skyline mirrored in a park lake, to sunlight flashing on steel, pedestrians caught in a shop window, or the shimmering play of ocean waves reflected on a child’s face—reflections are everywhere, waiting to be captured.
This call invites photographers to explore every kind of reflection. Submit images that show subjects alongside their reflections, or focus solely on the reflected image itself. Your reflection can be crisp and clear, or creatively transformed by ripples in water, warped glass, oil, or other reflective surfaces.
As with all NYC4PA open calls, we welcome all 2D photographic images in any style or subject matter.
