This is TERAVARNA’s 9th Portrait-themed art competition. We have given out $28,000 in cash prizes to our PORTRAIT Art Competition winners so far. We also organize competitions on other themes including figurative, water, color, landscape, etc. Our winners have been able to build a stronger customer base by displaying their artwork to a global audience through our platform.

What Makes this event different?

TERAVARNA has given out over $100,000 in cash prizes just in 2023 through our different competitions and grants. Our winners get a dedicated space in our annual artbook along with social media promotions and wall exhibitions.

Call for Entry

TERAVARNA is based out of Los Angeles, California. The art gallery organizes art competitions on different themes every fortnight. Artists from across the globe are invited to take part in these events to earn recognition. 

For our 9th PORTRAIT International Juried Art Competition, we are inviting artists from across the world to show different faces of their creativity through their art. We are looking forward to portraits that reflect different moods, emotions, scenarios, and stories through your canvas. Use the theme to narrate stories hiding behind every face. 

As this is an online art competition, you don’t need to make any physical submissions of your artwork. We save you the hassle of shipping your artwork across oceans in this digital era. Artists from all over the world can take part in this competition by submitting a high-definition picture of your artwork, without any reflection of light or shadows hindering the image. 

This competition can be your ultimate chance to interpret different styles of portrait through colors, clay, canvases, and brushes in 2D and 3D forms. You can submit your artwork in any medium including paintings, sculptures, graphic art, fiber art, printmaking, digital art, mixed media, photography, and installations. The winners of the competition, including the runners-ups shall stand a chance to win cash prizes of up to $3500, a certificate of recognition that marks their excellence, social media promotions, and a dedicated space in our annual artbook. 

The entry fee for the competition is $15 per artwork and artists can submit a maximum of 10 artworks per submission. If you wish to submit more, you can create a fresh submission for another 10 artworks and submit as many artworks as you wish. The deadline for the competition is 30th April 2024
