Event History
This will be our 3rd year hosting the Plains Conservation Center Annual Art Celebration. This art celebration is hosted by Denver Botanic Gardens in partnership with the City of Aurora. Every year, we become more skilled at hosting the art show as more submissions are entered year after year. We encourage everyone to apply, from young artists developing their skills to seasoned professionals. Whether it be sculpture, jewelry, painting, drawing, photography or tiling, we would love to showcase your creations in our galleries.
What Makes this event different?
This is a free art celebration for the community to showcase pieces that embody the diverse and vibrant shortgrass ecosystem we live in. We feature all levels of artwork, from beginners to professionals, and invite the community to enjoy their local artists at our free opening reception. The opening reception features a food truck, live music, chalk artists, s'mores, crafts, face painting and more to bring the public together.
Copyright Policy
All submissions must be the artist's original design and execution.

We welcome all Colorado artists to submit their work for consideration. Pieces could include landscapes, portraits, abstracts or other subject matter that represents the spirit and essence of Colorado’s eastern prairie now and in days gone by.
Selected work will be featured in the Plains Conservation Center gallery June 27 – July 2.
