Shoebox Arts invites you to submit work for this national open call online exhibition curated by artist and curator Debbie Korbel. “Laughter is a good way to make people at ease and help us connect with one another. Laughter relieves stress—and after the last several months we are all be ready to be hilarious.”

ELIGIBILITY
Open to Artists residing in the United States, age 18 and older
All fine arts visual media will be considered.
Artworks of any physical size can be submitted. Videos are limited to 10:00 minutes in length.
ENTRY FEE
Each artist may submit up to 3 images for a non-refundable fee of $10.
Up to 7 additional images (for a total of 10) can be submitted for $5 each. Detail shots count toward image total. Payment of fees is required to complete the submission process.

Complete image details: Title, year completed, dimensions, media and price.
File names should include the artist's last name and image title
Videos may be uploaded to CaFE or links to Vimeo or YouTube can be supplied as text in the questions of your application. Please test links and remove passwords.
SALES
Sales are encouraged. All sales will be handled through the artist.
The artist will retain 100% of any works sold. Sales tax will be administered by the seller.
ARTIST COMMITMENT
By submitting work, the artist agrees that they own the work; they take responsibility for the content including likeness to recognizable individuals; and that the work will be available during the exhibition dates listed. The artist(s) grant Shoebox Arts permission to use images of accepted works for public relations, marketing, and archival purposes. By entering our calls for art, the artist agrees to be added to the Shoebox Arts email list for future artist opportunities.

Debbie Korbel is an award-winning sculptor whose work has been exhibited and collected internationally. She is thrilled to include Steven Tyler, of Aerosmith, as one of her collectors. Her work has been featured in several major magazines and newspapers including Beautiful Bizarre Magazine, Western Art & Architecture, and American Art Collector. She has also had her art featured on banners in Times Square, NYC. Her most recent solo exhibition in 2020 was held at The Museum of Art & History, Lancaster. Additionally, she has written comedy scripts for television and is currently partnered in a songwriting team, PD Songwriting, which has a channel on YouTube.
