Call for Artists for the 25th Annual Art competition for Portraiture and Figurative Art
Artists are invited to submit artwork for the 25th annual "The International" portrait competition, that will showcase the finest in portraiture and figurative art today. The International art contest is the world's premier portrait competition and is open to all artists–members and non-members. A variety of mediums is encouraged and welcome. The top 20 finalists are required to exhibit their selected original artwork and be present at the prestigious The Art of the Portrait conference in Washington, DC, May 11-14, 2023 for final judging and awards.
Entry acceptance will close on February 20, 2023. Finalists will be announced March 14, 2023, and on Saturday, May 13, 2023, over $140,000 in cash and awards will be presented, with a $50,000 cash Grand Prize.
All winners will receive recognition in International Artist magazine, The Art of the Portrait journal and on the Portrait Society's website.
All artists are invited to enter by uploading up to three entries through our online form, entry fee is $50.
Submission deadline for uploading your entries is on or before midnight (EST) on February 20, 2023.
