The Women in Art Prize is an annual competition dedicated to discovering and elevating emerging female artists across the UK and overseas. Now in its 8th year, the prize is open to painters, photographers, sculptors, illustrators, and printmakers living and working in the UK, with a special award for one overseas artist.

The 2025 edition offers over £10,000 in prize money across multiple categories, including:

• Painting First Prize: £1,000
• Photography First Prize: £1,000
• Sculpture Prize: £1,000
• Drawing Prize: Prize amount to be confirmed
• Printmaking Prize: £500, plus additional promotional opportunities
• Best Overseas Artist: £1,000

 

Submissions for the 2025 prize open on March 8th, 2025, coinciding with International Women's Day, emphasizing the prize's commitment to amplifying women's voices in contemporary art.
