Historic Hotel Looking for an Artist in Residence

Call for entry for an artist residency

From the Hotel’s beginning in 1917, artists have always been making their way to the Vendome for refuge, rest, and inspiration. Tom Mix, a legendary silent movie star of nearly 300 movies, lived at the hotel in the 1920s while he was filming his western movies in the surrounding areas. Since that time the Hotel has been a destination for all kinds of artists including photographers, authors, poets, musicians, actors, and designers.  As we embark on our next 100 years, we are launching ArtVendome, an Artist in Residency program to bring art to the forefront of our hotel’s history and community.

The hotel is located in the center of downtown Prescott, Arizona and within walking distance to museums, galleries, restaurants, and bars.  Known as Arizona’s Hometown, Prescott sits up at 5,367 feet and is surrounded by mountains, lakes, forest, outdoor beauty, and fresh air.  We believe the hotel’s history, charm, and presence along with the abundance of nature nearby will inspire artists. We hope to inspire and support you as you continue your growth as an artist.

The hotel has many guests and plenty of foot traffic. It is the perfect place for an artist looking to showcase their artwork on a busy, but personal basis.
