Event History
Our events are free spirit artistic and community-oriented gatherings. We prefer original views independent of fashion streams reflected in every art fields. We tend to establish real communities and connections by announcing and giving place to different actions. Since 1990, Őrhegy Ltd. has been supporting independent art. While the company concentrated on filmmaking and production in its first 15 years, it has since opened up to other artistic and cultural fields as well: it provides space, technology, equipment and expertise.
What Makes this event different?
Our events are focused on community. Instead of buying tickets, guests bring food and home-made goods to the community.

Call to Artists and Creatives
Our aim is to create an event where each performance is one-of-a-kind, and shaped by the moment, the artists involved, and the ambiance of the venue. We look for and welcome ideas that arise within the scope of the program and are committed to bringing them to life and sharing them with the audience.
ABOUT THE TOPIC
Improvisation is the purest form of creative expression, where art comes alive through instinct and spontaneity. It's about embracing the unknown, taking risks, and finding beauty in the unexpected. Without rules or scripts, it allows for raw, authentic moments of creation. The true magic happens when we collaborate, building on each other's ideas to create something extraordinary. So, let go, embrace imperfection, and dive into the creative process, knowing that the most powerful art comes from the moments we share and create together.
PARTICIPATION FEE for selected artist
- 200 Euro / person
- 300 Euro / person with daily one course, traditional Hungarian hot meal with or without mea (unfortunately, we cannot offer food for different diets)
WHAT WE OFFER
Transportation
Transportation will be provided from Győr to the residency location and back to Győr at the end of the program.
Győr is easily accessible from Vienna, Bratislava, and Budapest, all of which have airports as well as major rail and bus connections.
Facilities
The venue includes two concert halls with stages, three gardens, and unique exhibition spaces.
Accommodations feature two rustic community houses with bedrooms, shared living areas, kitchens, and bathrooms. Photos of the rooms can be found in the gallery at the bottom of the page.
Equipment
We offer a drum set, a grand piano, an electric piano, guitar and bass amplifiers, as well as a projector and projection screen.
Materials
In line with our commitment to recycling, we’ve gathered a collection of damaged furniture, wood scraps, metal objects, and basic tools, all available for use.
Showcase
At the end of each residency, we host events to showcase your work and foster connections with fellow artists and art organizers. These events emphasize community, where instead of purchasing tickets, guests contribute by bringing food and homemade goods to share.
