Event History

Following on the success of past exhibitions in 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019, the London Art Biennale gathers an eclectic and stimulating selection of excellent art from around the world. Art can be viewed and purchased by art collectors and enthusiasts in a celebration of modern art.

What Makes this event different?

The London Art Biennale offers a museum-quality award exhibition organized by one of the oldest art galleries in Chelsea and curated by professionals. The 2019 edition was inaugurated by a member of the Royal Family, Lady Sophie Windsor, and the event was attended by many esteemed guests and collectors. Artists have the opportunity to win numerous awards including monetary prizes of up to a £5,000 GBP. The Biennale’s wide range of awards consists of multiple monetary rewards, subcategory awards, and the opportunity to have work professionally critiqued by the International Confederation of Art Critics.

The London Art Biennale is a museum-quality award exhibition that gathers contemporary art from around the world. There is no theme for the exhibit thus allowing for all artistic movements to be presented with a focus on a professionally curated journey of art that creates a stimulating yet coherent experience for viewers and collectors.

London is thirsty for art.  The 5th edition London Art Biennale will be one of the first events to inaugurate once restrictions have lifted in the UK. We are now accepting applications for the upcoming exhibition, that will take place at the end of June 2021. We invite your artwork submissions.

As well as providing a wonderful exhibition in which works can be purchased by collectors, this year, there are numerous awards including monetary prizes of up to a £5,000 GBP. The Biennale’s range of awards consists of multiple monetary awards, subcategory awards, and opportunities to have work professionally critiqued by the International Confederation of Art Critics. Curated by Gagliardi Gallery, in partnership with the Chianciano Art Museum, other prizes include month-long group shows where artwork is chosen for exhibition in an Italian museum, as well as fully paid all-inclusive retreats at The Art Club Boutique in Tuscany, with your very own private art studio for a whole week.

The 2019 exhibition was inaugurated by Lady Sophie Windsor of the British Royal Family and every past edition was visited by the Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea who supported the event.

The London Art Biennale has committed significant amounts to charity in previous editions and will continue to do so in the times ahead. Over the years we have donated original artworks by Andy Warhol, Pietro Annigoni, Jose Van Roy Dali, and a new Fiat 500 to raise funds for various charity organisations such as the Rotary International’s “End Polio Now” Charity, the Salvation Army, London’s Air Ambulance, and Age UK.

The Official Inauguration will take place on the 30th June and the exhibition will be open to the public on the following days until the 4th July.
