BECOME ONE OF THE PHOTOGRAPHERS OF THE YEAR — MONOCHROMATIC AWARDS 2026
We invite you to take part in the fifth edition of the Monochromatic Awards. We are looking for the best monochromatic photography of 2026.
This competition is open to all interpretations of monochromatic photography: from traditional black and white to grayscale, sepia, cyanotype, or any other variation based on a single tone. What matters is how you use that limitation to build an image.
Photographers from all genres and backgrounds are welcome to participate. Beyond category, we are looking for work with a clear vision and a defined intention.
The winner will be recognized as Photographer of the Year and, together with the finalists, will be included in the annual Monochromatic Book. This publication brings together an international selection of works, carefully edited and presented, creating a coherent body that reflects what is happening in monochromatic photography today.
Rather than a fleeting appearance, the book offers a lasting format where the work can be seen with the time and attention it requires. Each project is placed in relation to others, generating dialogue and reinforcing its context within a broader contemporary landscape.
More than visibility, it provides positioning. A space where the work is not consumed quickly, but considered, revisited, and remembered.

Eligibility
This opportunity is open to all photographers, amateur or professional, aged 18 and above, from anywhere in the world.
Copyrights & Usage Rights
The images copyright will be exclusively and at all times of the photographer and author of the image. The images will use strictly in relation to the Dodho prizes and will not be used for other purposes than the direct promotion of their authors. The images may not be used in any case by any third party without the express consent of the author and by written request, which will be sent to the author by email. Dodho is granted the right to publish the best works received in its online version and subsequent promotion in its social networks, always safeguarding authorship and copyright.
