We schedule this call every 2-3 years
What Makes this event different?
New York Center for Photographic Art is a unique company in that its business model offers six – eight opportunities a year for any and all photographers, from amateur to professional, male or female, young or old. Each and every individual is encouraged to submit photographs based on the specific theme as laid out in the call. Ten winners receive cash prizes. Twenty submitters are selected as Juror's Selections and 20 submitters are selected as Honorable Mentions. All winners are shown in our online gallery as well as in the exhibition catalog specifically designed for each individually themed call for entry. We encourage all photographers to submit.
Copyright Policy
All entrants to NYC4PA Open Calls for Entry, by virtue of their submission, are attesting that the images submitted are their own work and there has been no copyright infringement. NYC4PA will not be held liable for any infringement of rights that might surface during the jurying or displaying of any image.
Image Usage Rights
By submitting you grant NYC4PA the right to use your image(s) for promotion and advertisement of NYC4PA as well as inclusion in the NYC4PA catalog and online gallery if the image is prize winning, juror selection or honorable mention. The photographer retains all rights to the image.
Botanical Photography Call for Entries
NYC4PA invites photographers worldwide to submit work exploring the beauty and diversity of the botanical world. From towering forests and tropical jungles to flowers, vines, fruit, leaves, and garden landscapes, this international photography competition celebrates the many forms of life that begin with a seed.
Artists are encouraged to capture their unique perspective on botanical subjects across seasons and environments—whether photographing colorful blooms, textured foliage, edible plants, natural patterns, or dramatic black and white studies. Images may be created in gardens, urban spaces, parks, beaches, rain forests, or everyday settings close to home.
With spring emerging in the northern hemisphere and autumn unfolding in the southern hemisphere, photographers are invited to interpret botanical life through their own creative lens.
As with all NYC4PA calls, all 2D photographic mediums and processes are welcome.
