What Makes this event different?
We are committed to creating opportunities of exposure, visibility, and sales for our artists. We are especially committed to those underrepresented in the art world —more specifically women, members of the LGTBQ community and racialized persons. Shortlisted artists will get featured in our dedicated art magazine and can sell their work in curated online auctions. Selected artists will participate in a physical exhibit at an FLIPA Art Gallery in Barcelona, Spain, this spring.

GUNS FOR PEACE is an open call for visual artists around the world. Apply until 20.03.2022.
THEME OF THE OPEN CALL: Guns are a tool of oppression and power. They dominate and subjugate, but they are also a symbol of the stereotypes and roles that structure our society.
GUNS FOR PEACE is an invitation to artists to critically rethink the role of guns and their symbolism, in order to subvert their meaning and significance. We want to see your take on the role that guns play in our society, and how they relate to the power relations that structure our world. We are looking for proposals that use their representation and rethink their use as well as their connection with strength and power, from the public sphere to the closest and most intimate spaces.
Submit your work for the opportunity of being part of a collective exhibition at FLIPA Art Gallery in Barcelona, Spain and selling your work through an auction organized by RICE in partnership with Liveauctioneers.com. In addition, shortlisted artists will also be featured in the fourth edition of our online contemporary art magazine.
