Call for Entries from Manifest

Manifest, a Cincinnati-based non-profit arts organization and gallery, invites visual artists and designers to submit works exploring the many forms of pain and the ways it moves us. Open to all media and genres, including 2D, 3D, and experimental approaches.

Pain exists in the body and mind—often invisible, difficult to name, and impossible to prove. Empathy alone cannot fully bridge the gap; expression becomes essential. Through art, we communicate our wounds, call to be seen, and sometimes ask others to share the weight.

We are fascinated by it. We press the bruise, nudge the hot tooth, and wallow in the miasma of a sad song. A part of us craves to see it echoed in art, and to share in the recognition, the naming of the thing that hurts us. When pain is shared, it eases, if only a little.

Manifest seeks works that give voice to these experiences.

$45 for up to THREE entries submitted. $5 per each additional entry.
