Calling all Pennsylvania artists! As part of our December to Remember virtual event, the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts has created a brand new winter version of our popular July Images juried art competition.
We're calling it Pennsylvania Winter: People, Places, and Things. "We think that will leave a lot of room for creative interpretation", said exhibition coordinator Jennifer Shuey.
"We also listened to artist feedback and have opened this juried exhibition up to three-dimensional art, since we don't have our usual gallery limitations in an online show. A lot of our artist friends working in 3D, who haven't been able to enter the Images show, should be pleased by this new twist."
Cash prizes totaling $1,500 will be awarded by juror Patrick J. McGrady, the Charles V Hallman Senior Curator at Penn State’s Palmer Museum of Art.
The exhibition will be online November 23 through January 15 and will be promoted through the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts' robust social media and email following to encourage holiday sales.
The deadline to enter is Friday, November 6.
