The Royal Institute of Oil Painters OPEN CALL | Now Open!

 

The Royal Institute of Oil Painters (RSMA) invites artists worldwide, ages 18 and over, to submit artwork for the RSMA Annual Exhibition 2025 at Mall Galleries.

 

Submission deadline: Friday 10 October 2025 at 12 noon.

 

Selected artists will have their work exhibited at Mall Galleries, London, with potential for sales and commissions. 

 

The total prize fund is worth over £8,000, including The Roger Remington Award of £4,000 for an outstanding painting!

 

Submission guidelines:

 

• Artists may enter a maximum of six artworks each, from which up to three works per artist may be selected.
• Work must have been completed within the last three years and not previously exhibited at Mall Galleries.
• Artists may submit work on any subject matter. The special theme this year is ‘HOME’, which can be interpreted widely. If a work is on theme, please say so in the artwork description box when applying.

 

 

Acceptable media:

 

• Oils. The ROI promotes and exhibits work of the highest standard in oil paint. Water-soluble oil paint is acceptable if framed as an oil, so as to not spoil the general appearance of the exhibition. Acrylic is no longer accepted.
