Sail Britain Ocean Programme 2020

Email Friend Add to Favorites Report Listing

Calling artists, change makers and ocean lovers to join Sail Britain’s interdisciplinary creative programme in 2020! We will be undertaking a series of voyages on the West Coast of Scotland, exploring the ocean, the coastline, it’s ecology and communities. Join us onboard!

Sail Britain is an interdisciplinary project working towards positive change for the oceans through sailing, creative practice and the development and exchange of ideas. Examining our relationship with the sea while learning how to sail an ocean-going vessel allows privileged insights into an inaccessible environment. We work with people from the arts, sciences and communities to explore issues such as marine plastic pollution, Climate Change, singing on the sea, the cultural importance of islands, and what it means to be small on a big Blue Planet!

The voyage will take place in one week legs from mid May till late September. Different sections focus on different themes, but all follow our strong creative and social ethos in an inclusive environment.

Please visit our website for further details and feel free to get in touch with questions or suggestions, we’re always happy to say hello. Everyone welcome regardless of background!
