Call for entries for Sculptors
The Village of Beverly Hills is looking to enhance the natural beauty of their community parks with sculptures that relate to the natural environment. There are a variety of habitats that range from walking trails to woods, ponds and fields that are all available for display of the sculptures.
The selected pieces will receive a $1000 stipend upon successful installation of the sculpture. The sculptures will be on loan from the artist to the Village for three years, May 2022 through April 2025.
The artist will be responsible for the installation and removal of the sculpture as well as the insurance for the artwork. The offering of the sculpture for sale is encouraged. A commission of 30% of the gross purchase price will be paid to the Village.
Please note that sculptures need to be able to stand freely or be anchored in soil; foundations/bases are not provided. Sculptures may be on the ground, floating or suspended.
The location of the sculpture will be determined by the Village Parks & Recreation Board. Selected pieces will be carefully sited to best complement the piece and its setting.
The selection committee will be looking for creative and unique work that will integrate well into the park environment. The work must meet or exceed standards for public safety, durability and structural integrity.
