Production Paradise is announcing the launch of their 2020 Spotlight Awards – a competition with a unique focus for advertising talent. This is the 3rd edition of the awards, the only photo competition that has created a judge’s panel that is solely filled with potential clients for commercial photographers. Judges like Paul Stechmesser (Manager - Design of The Coca-Cola Company), Julie Rosenoff (Manager & Art Producer at HAVAS), Kieran Delaney (Creative Director at McCann Health UK), Brendan Donnelly (Creative Director at M&C Saatchi Australia), and Kristin Mellqvist (Director of Creative Shoot & Production at Adidas), among many others, will be choosing the winners who will be announced in early October 2020 – this competition might just be the most global online portfolio review a photographer could ever have.

“Our Spotlight Awards give the opportunity to talented photographers to be directly visible to more than 50 of some of the most influential creative decision-makers around the globe. That is exactly what Production Paradise is all about – great imagery in front of great creatives.” says Mariela von Estorff, CEO of Production Paradise.

The awards will have a submission period from April 27th to July 17th, 2020.

Photographers may submit imagery in 15 professional categories: Advertising, Architecture & Interiors, Beauty, Cars, CGI, Corporate & Industrial, Fashion, Food & Drink, Kids, Lingerie & Swimwear, People & Lifestyle, Portrait & Celebrity, Sport, Still Life and Travel & Documentary. The CGI category has been included this year for the first time, to acknowledge the growing role of computer generated imagery in the advertising world. In the current COVID-19 crisis, CGI is an alternative to traditional photography in advertising campaigns, as it can be created in isolation. Lingerie & Swimwear is also new to the list this year.

Each category will have a single winner and all 50+ judges will choose a Grand Prize winner from the professional category winners. There are over $30,000 worth of prizes, throughout 15 categories, with a chance for one photographer to win $9,000 in prizes, including $5000 cash.

2019 winners included Daniele Colucciello, Grand Prize and Sport Winner; Julien Barbes, Fashion Winner; Lucila Blumencweig, Kids Winner; Brett Stanley, Advertising Winner; and Tina Sturzenegger, Food & Drink Winner, among other prestigious photographers.

This year, we welcome Fujifilm Spain as the Awards’ main sponsor. This year’s Grand Prize winner will receive a brand new Fujifilm X100V camera, with the new 23mmF2.0 lens that has been enhanced for better resolution, lower distortion and improves close focus performance.
