Copyright Policy

The copyright of the Works during and after the exhibition remains with the Artist. GGOP does not have the right to make use of or bestow the high definition files or the prints of the Works that will be used for the realization of the exhibition. The royalties of the Works are not bestowed to The GGOP at any time. The copyright of the Works remains in the creators and in them alone.

Image Usage Rights

Artists grant GGOP the right to use their images to promote the exhibition, for display GGOP webpage and for inclusion On Instagram, twitter and facebook. The GGOP reserves the right to print your image in a size and on paper type to a style in keeping of the exhibition it is entered into.

The Glasgow Gallery of Photography is running a month long exhibition in September called Texture.

Along with shape and colour, texture is another accept of photography that we have found interesting to explore. Whether it's discovering interesting textures out in the world, in either nature or urban environments and trying to capture it, or using light and shadow to create texture within your image, it can make the difference between a flat image and one that has more life to it.

Photographers can submit up to 8 images that meet the theme. Submissions are FREE, but there will be a participation fee of £48.00 if your work is selected.

Those selected will have their work displayed in a month long exhibition in our gallery, with their work also appearing online in an online gallery on our website.

We accept work from both emerging and established photographers.

The deadline for this exhibition: 26th April 2024

• Choose up to 8 images that are 300ppi and 3000 Pixels minimum on the shortest side.
• Name your image files with your name e,g Firstname-Surname1, Firstname-Surname2, etc
• Make sure your images are JPEG files.
• Send your 1 - 8 files using either Wetransfer or Dropbox (which are free to use) to our submission email address submissions@glasgowgalleryofphotography.com.
