Copyright Policy
The copyright of the Works during and after the exhibition remains with the Artist. GGOP does not have the right to make use of or bestow the high definition files or the prints of the Works that will be used for the realization of the exhibition. The royalties of the Works are not bestowed to The GGOP at any time. The copyright of the Works remains in the creators and in them alone.
Image Usage Rights
Artists grant GGOP the right to use their images to promote the exhibition, for display GGOP webpage and for inclusion On Instagram, twitter and facebook. The GGOP reserves the right to print your image in a size and on paper type to a style in keeping of the exhibition it is entered into.
What is The Emergence Project? The Emergence project is to give recently graduated photography students a chance to showcase their work to a wider audience. The exhibition will be held in our gallery and all printing expenses will be covered by us at GGoP, this exhibition will be completely free for the students selected to participate. We will also be making an accompanying zine to go along with the exhibition, which will be available for purchase, any proceeds made from the sell of the zine will be used to help cover costs of the exhibition.
This year our Emergence Project exhibition will be exhibited at the same time as the British Journal of Photography's Female in Focus exhibition in our gallery this July.
Those selected will have their work displayed in an exhibition in our gallery, with their work also appearing online in an online gallery on our website. Also additional images will be showcased in a zine that all those taking part in the exhibition will get a free copy of.
Who can apply? Any UK based photography student who has graduated between 2022 - 2025 can submit their work for a chance to be selected to take part in this graduate showcase.
How to submit? Please send your submissions to submissions@glasgowgalleryofphotography.com. Send up to 8 images and a brief statement (in a word doc or pdf) about you, where you graduated from and what year, your work/projects and why you would like to be part of The Emergence Project.
Make sure that the image you submit are JPEGs and that images you submit can be printed at 16"x12" as a minimum.
