The Salt Spring National Art Prize (SSNAP) is a biennial competition and exhibition celebrating Canadian contemporary visual art. Offering $52,000 in awards, it stands among Canada's most significant art prizes. The upcoming 2025 edition has key dates as follows:

• Submissions Open: January 3, 2025
• Submissions Close: May 31, 2025, at 8 pm PDT
• Finalists Announced: Week of July 14, 2025
• Exhibition and Voting Open: September 27, 2025
• Voting Closes: October 17, 2025
• Winners Announced: October 18, 2025

SSNAP invites Canadian citizens and permanent residents aged 18 and over to submit original two- or three-dimensional artworks that have not been previously shown in a juried exhibition. An independent national jury selects approximately 50 finalists whose works are showcased in a month-long exhibition on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia.
