Event History

First Annual Visiting Artist/Educator Weeklong Workshop: We are honored to host Dr. Bryan Winfred Massey, Sr. Summer 2025 as the first Visiting Artist Educator at Kindred Creative Residence + Agro-ForesT.

What Makes this event different?

Participants have the opportunity to camp out on a 66 acre agro-forest, stewarded by BIPoC artists, educators, and activists. We are a LGBTQIA+ affirming, multi-generational community that centers learning about care and connection to land.

Call for Entry - Wood Carving Residency

Kindred Creative Residence + Agro-ForesT is proud to welcome Dr. Bryan Winfred Massey, Sr. as its inaugural Visiting Artist. Dr. Massey will lead a week-long woodcarving workshop open to artists of all levels. The workshop tuition is $1,600 and includes three daily plant-based meals and snacks. Optional on-site camping is available at an additional cost ranging from $300 to $1,000, depending on the site selected. Visit our website to explore lodging options and secure your spot.
